T.A.C. Colenbrander for Rozenburg Floral Charger, circa 1886

Price Upon Request
  • Description
A Rozenburg floral charger designed by T.A.C. Colenbrander, The Hague, circa 1886.

The decoration unfolds in a dynamic arrangement of stylised flowers, curling leaves and bold colour contrasts. Turquoise and burgundy passages are enlivened by ivory petals, yellow accents and dark outlines, creating a rhythmic composition across the circular surface.

Previously exhibited on loan at Keramiekmuseum Princessehof, the charger retains the museum label from that exhibition, alongside its Meentwijck Collection label and painted Rozenburg factory marks on the reverse.

Measuring 39.5 cm in diameter, the charger offers an engaging focal point for collectors of Colenbrander, Rozenburg ceramics and Dutch art pottery. The reverse retains painted Rozenburg factory marks and additional workshop markings.
