Description
This large Rafsanjani sub tribal piece shows a navy cartouche-shaped sub-field tightly displaying hundreds of tiny one-way botehs. Surrounding field patterned with diagonal color bars in straw cream red ecru and royal blue. Characteristic burnt apricot border of round flowerheads squares and boteh-leaves on a faceted thin meander. A very striking example of woven tribal folk art. Wool foundation chunky handle. Good condition.
