Description
This modern west Persian Kurdish town carpet shows a cream field in a close allover Herati design overlaid by a variant of the "Ardebil Carpet" design. The round 16 crenel pointed red medallion suspends two mosque lamps, and the en suite quarter medallion corners feature full and half ogival cartouches. Navy main border with rosette wreaths, lancet leaves, vases and cartouche palmettes. Very compact and robust. Well-woven. Good plus condition.
