The slate spandrels vigorously grasp the plain ecru field with prominent â€œclaws", while the lobe-stepped slate medallion is somewhat more sedate. Powerful corner forked arabesqus. Central salmon octofoil. Beige main border with wreathed palmettes and bold, large-barbed leaves, Fine, urban weave from a prolific workshop and carpet area. Cotton foundation, short-shorn brisk pile. Good condition and a desirable squarish format.
