Description
The slightly abrashed rust-red madder field shows an allover pattern of repeating open palmette quatrefoils outlined in cream, with semi-geometric four-way motives between and rosettes, palmettes and flowers filling in. Light/pale blue accents. Also straw and dark brown. Narrow dark blue compressed, reversing turtle main border, and cream rosette minors. Heavy and compact weave, on cotton, with slightest wear, but usable for generations to come. Kurdish city piece. Good condition.
