Description
Semi Antique Persian Tabriz Rug - 12'1" x 17'11", Tabriz rugs are among the most exquisite and sought-after types of oriental carpets in the world. They originate from the city of Tabriz, the capital of East Azerbaijan province in northwestern Iran, which has a long and rich history of carpet weaving dating back to the 16th century. Tabriz rugs are known for their high quality, intricate designs, and diverse patterns, ranging from medallions, floral motifs, geometric shapes, to pictorial scenes and hunting themes. Tabriz rugs are made with fine wool on cotton foundation, and have a tight and dense knotting that gives them a durable and luxurious feel.
