Marble-Topped Tawi Wood Sideboard by Edward Wormley for Dunbar

Description
In this extraordinary sideboard/buffet, Dunbar model 5464, Edward Wormley set staggered panels of tawi wood into an ebonized mahogany frame topped with a slab of Portuguese marble.
The shallower drawer at top left has seven felt-lined divisions. To the right, a tambour door conceals a large storage area. Below left a hinged door with key secures another storage space and offers two shelves for glasses. At center is a second drawer. On the bottom, a wide third drawer contains a removable linen tray. All drawers feature double-ringed brass pulls and inset brass handles decorate the sides. -
