    RARE CONNECTICUT QUEEN ANNE STEPPED CORNICE HIGH CHEST
    Probably Woodbury, Connecticut, 1760-1780.
    Having two case dovetailed and rosehead nail construction with unusual stepped cornice, fan and shell carved drawers. The upper case with a fan-carved drawer flanked by two short drawers, above four graduated and thumb-molded drawers. The lower case with one long drawer over three short drawers, the central having a carved lobed shell. Standing on cabriole legs, joined by a shaped skirt with drop pendant, terminating on pad feet. Original bat wing brasses and escutcheons.
