PoliArte Square Wall Sconce In Murano By Albano Poli, Italy 1970's
-
Description
Albano Poli is a glass artist from Verona who specializes mainly in stained glass techniques. In 1953 he opened a small studio and in the early 1970s he started the PoliArte label, which was entirely focused on making lamps.DesignThis wall sconce in the shape of a cube consists of nine blocks of hand-blown Murano glass. Each block has a saucer-shaped recess on each surface which creates a beautiful mosaic pattern. This is especially visible when the lamp is off. Diagonally across the middle are three blocks colored with a hint of amber that, when hit by the light, spreads warmth across the wall. When the lamp is lit, it seems like you are looking into a kaleidoscope, providing a mesmerizing effect. The two metal clamps on the sides allow you to slide the lamp over the wall plate, which is equipped with two E14 fittings.ConditionThe condition of the lamp is good with minimal traces of use.
