Description
A petite yet all the more charming and elegant crystal and brass basket-form chandelier, dating to the 1950s. Finely handcrafted by Bakalowits & Söhne, Vienna, Austria. The piece features a beautifully curved, tapered brass cage adorned with faceted, hand-cut crystal prisms in three shapes: elongated rectangular and ball-shaped elements, as well as teardrop-shaped crystals on the upper crown and and along the lower rim.
The chandelier accommodates three light sources and will be newly rewired to meet the electrical standards of your country (e.g., E26 for the US, E27 for the EU). It remains complete and in good condition, with the brass retaining a superb, untouched vintage patina developed over decades.
An elegant and well-proportioned fixture, producing a refined, sparkling light—an excellent example of 1950s Viennese luxury lighting.
Diameter 9.5“, total drop height 42“, height without the rod 16“. We are pleased to adjust the total drop height of the chandelier to your specifications as a complimentary service. -
