Description
This rare desk/table lamp was produced by Boréns in Borås, Sweden, in the 1960s. The lamp is marked with the manufacturer's sticker, as well as engraved with the manufacturer's logo and the model number 8554, on the underside of the base.
The striking design consists of a circular brass foot with a push switch button. The slightly tapered wooden stem is executed in solid teak wood with a warm tone. Attached to the wooden stem is a brass gooseneck-style fitting, which allows the shade to be adjusted into different positions and angles. The elegant shade is again in brass, with several round perforations.
The lamp is in very good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use. It is currently wired with the original 220V European wiring. -
