Description
This rare table lamp was designed by Bruno Karlsson and produced by Ego Stengods Ateljé in Sweden during the 1960s. The lamp is signed with the manufacturer's name and the designer's initials on the underside of the base.
Charming in scale and appearance, the lamp features a sculptural ceramic base marked by its gently tiered, rounded silhouette. The base is finished in a layered gradient glaze, blending warm tones of caramel, honey, and brown. The subtle variations in color and softly weathered finish create beautiful depth. The cylindrical clip-on shade, in custom-textured ivory Métaphores fabric, provides a subtle contrast to the warm, layered hues of the ceramic base.
The lamp is in very good condition, rewired and with a completely new shade. Currently with a 220V European plug and a standard E26/E27 light fitting.
Dimensions:
Total height including shade: 27 cm / 10.63 inches
Height of the base only: (excluding shade but including bulb socket) 18 cm / 7.09 inches
Diameter of shade: 12.5 cm / 4.92 inches
Diameter of base: 10 cm / 3.94 inches -
