Single Family House Lamps by CP Lighting
-
Description
Christopher Poehlmann has been making objects based upon the archetypal house form since the late 1980s. Art objects, jewelry, furniture and lighting. His first Single Family House Lamp was a shade made from thin gauge aluminum sewn together with copper wire for a floor lamp built for a solo gallery show in 1990. This work quickly evolved into a series of pendant lamps with whimsical astroturf covered ceiling canopies. 35 years later he has reworked the idea of the SFHL in a much more refined and sculptural manner, now made from welded and carved aluminum plate with an antiqued bronze powder finish or custom painted to order in any color desired.
