Description
Elegant French midcentury table lamp with a generous gourd‑shaped ceramic base in a deep, glossy black glaze, giving the piece a sleek, sculptural presence on a console, side table, or desk. The lamp retains its original character but has been newly rewired, and is topped with a simple tapered off‑white linen shade with a contrasting dark trim that accentuates the clean modern lines.
Signed “B. Aoustin” to the underside, this lamp dates to around 1960 and reflects the refined, understated aesthetic of French pottery of the period. It provides warm, even illumination and works equally well used singly or as a pair in a bedroom or living room.
