Description
Gabriella Crespi rare 'Fungo' table lamp from the Rising Sun Series with lacquered bamboo strips and polished brass details on dome shade atop elegant flared brass base, Italy, 1970s. This iconic table lamp was produced in different sizes and this model is the medium size. Larger sized model also available in another listing. Impressed with facsimile signature and artist’s cipher to shade 'Gabriella Crespi'.
Fully restored and rewired to U.S. standards with dimmer switch.
This bamboo 'Fungo' table lamp series and is a striking example of Crespi's deft use of natural material to beautifully create organic lighting pieces. Gabriella Crespi adorned her own Milan apartment with a version of this large 'Fungo' table lamp (see last image). -
