Description
A rare pair of sconces, model 3032/F, designed by Gino Sarfatti for Arteluce in 1954. Crafted from a blend of metal and white methacrylate, these ceiling lamps embody mid-century modern aesthetics.
Featuring a slightly concave rectangular shape, these ceiling lamps integrate into minimalist interiors, providing a naturally nuanced illumination. Each lamp consists of a sleek black metal support, affixed with a white methacrylate diffuser. The curved form, ingeniously concealing the bulbs, allows for versatile placement on the ceiling or wall.
The signature design is by Gino Sarfatti, an influential figure in industrial design and founder of Arteluce in 1939. The lamps, designated 3032/F, debuted in the 1954 catalog, showcasing Sarfatti's mastery of form and function.
The pair is authentic, boasting originality, functionality, and impeccable condition. Each lamp bears the original coloured manufacturer's mark, attesting to its pedigree.
Measuring at 66x38x13 cm, these sconces serve as functional lighting and iconic pieces of mid-century design history. Their enduring appeal and craftsmanship make them a coveted addition to any discerning collector's repertoire. -
