Maison Jansen early palm tree lamps mahogany bronze 1960
-
Description
This beautiful pair of palm tree table lamps is a rare find, an early 1960s version of one of the most iconic pieces by Maison Jansen. The base and trunk are made of French mahogany wood, with gold leaf gilt accents. But what makes these Jansen palm tree pieces most extraordinary is the level of detail that went into every aspect, individual pieces of patinated bronze have been shaped around the trunk to look and feel like the coastal tree’s bark, as well as the leaves on top. There are three light fixtures under the hanging just below the leaves, warming up the bronze patina. Fully restored, and found in a very good vintage condition, these pieces will instantly transform a space with its lively Parisian 1960s flair.
