Description
This striking pair of table lamps was produced by Markslöjd in Kinna, Sweden, in the 1960s. Each lamp retains the manufacturer’s label on the underside of the base.
The design features a sculptural, organically shaped frame resting on a circular base crafted from solid stained beech wood. The lamps are finished with brass fittings, while the original coolie-shaped shades have been renewed in ivory white Loro Piana linen fabric. The shades are adjustable and can be positioned at different angles. The result is an elegant example of Swedish Modern lighting, visually striking from every perspective.
The pair remains in very good condition, with newly updated shades. They are currently fitted with a 220V European plug and a standard E26/E27 bulb fitting. -
