Paavo Tynell Star Burst Pendant Light for Lightolier. Rare Star Burst Pendant design by Paavo Tynell. This design originated from model 9081 pictured on the cover of Paavo Tynell's Finland House Catalog 1948 -1950. In 1958 - 1966 Paavo Tynell joined in a significant design collaboration with Lightolier. Working off of his earlier designs he brought an individuality to each new design that would always be unmistakably Paavo Tynell. This Star Burst Pendant Light is an original example maintaining the Lightolier makers mark. sixteen Brass bar silhouettes in the outline shape of the star are joined to a solid brass ball creating a fully (3D) dimensional star shaped burst. The burst is adjustable and can be positioned at any height along the brass drop pole. A rare example of Paavo Tynell's designs manufactured through Lightolier. In very good condition with scuffs to the black finish on the aluminum shade. American 1958-1960. Restoration of new black paint to the shade is available if desired.
