Description
This rare table lamp was produced by Steneby Hemslöjdsförening in Sweden in the 1950s. The lamp is engraved with the manufacturer's logo and name, as well as the model number 3765.
The sculptural design is executed in solid teak and is marked by an asymmetrical, geometric form. The rectangular base with rounded edges supports a triangular openwork element with an elongated cut-out. A tapering vertical stem rises from the base, joined by an angled arm that can be adjusted side to side.
The wide, slightly tapered drum shade is a custom design made in cream/off-white Métaphores fabric. The finely textured textile provides a refined, neutral contrast while offering soft and even light distribution.
The lamp is in good condition, with the wood showing a natural patina and minor wear consistent with age and use. Rewired for 220V with a new bulb fitting and new shade.
