Description
This exceptional pair of table lamps was produced by AB Stilarmatur Tranås in Sweden in the 1960s.
The design is distinguished by the thick, high-quality glass foot of each base. The circular, slightly tapered glass base is crafted using a combination of intricate techniques, including engraving, frosting, and crushing. These processes create a dynamic interplay of textures, resulting in a striking, ice-like appearance rich in visual detail. Rising from the glass is the central stem, crafted in rosewood. Its lively, natural grain adds warmth and an organic texture that beautifully contrasts the cool, structured look of the glass. The slightly tapered shades have been renewed in an ivory, linen textured fabric, offering a pleasant and soft light distribution.
The lamps are in very good condition, rewired and currently with 220V European plugs. Standard E26/E27 bulb fittings. Listed dimensions are the overall dimensions including lampshades. -
