1950s Italian modernist large and exquisite shaped etched glass brass mirror with slightly curved and rounded top which gently tapers towards the bottom, and with elegant decorative scroll brass elements on top and bottom, and wood backing in the style of Gio Ponti. The original etched mirrored plate has a lovely floral border and has small scattered areas of foxing which illustrate its authentic age. This chic sculptural mirror with its curvaceous form and playful decorative scroll attachments demonstrates the Italian Novecento design and style characteristic of Gio Ponti's works and this midcentury period.
