    A carved giltwood frame in the Italian Baroque style featuring original mercury plate within the frame. The intricate floral carvings include prominent sunflower motifs in each corner—a later central mirror plate bordered by original mercury plate segments with the frame. The giltwood shows evident age, wear, and patina. Circa 1850.
