English George II Pair of Mahogany Hall Chairs of Sgabello Form, circa 1730

Description
A beautiful pair of circa 1730 English George II period solid mahogany hall chairs of sgabello form, the vasiform shaped and curved 'spoon' backs connecting to 'dished' roundel centered 'compass' shaped seats on shaped panel supports connected by curved 'tilde' stretchers; the fronts with corresponding roundels to center. A similar example, but in oak, is pictured in the reference below and notes it as one of 18 supplied by George Nix to Ham House in August of 1730.
