Description
This exceptional set of six dining chairs was produced in France during the 1950s. With their sculptural silhouette and artisanal craftsmanship, they perfectly bridge the elegance of French Modernism with the raw character of Brutalism.
The design is defined by its striking V-shaped, winged backrest, featuring elegant curved lines and softly rounded corners. The backrest is connected to the seat by a black-lacquered steel bracket, adding a subtle industrial touch. The seat itself has a square shape with rounded corners. Both the backrest and seat are crafted from solid oak, which has developed a beautiful, warm patina over time. The chairs rest on four tubular steel legs, also lacquered in black. Despite their bold design, the chairs provide a pleasant seating experience with a good level of back support.
The set is in good, restored condition. The oak wood shows a natural patina with minor signs of wear consistent with age and use, including light scratches and small nicks. The metal legs have been carefully restored while preserving their original lacquered finish. -
