French 19th Century Painted Buffet A Deux Corps
-
Description
This French, solid pine buffet a deux corps remarkably has kept its original spearmint color exterior and white interior, the paint now delightfully patinated and crackled. The upper body features glass doors with original panes, opening by a working lock and key to an interior fitted with three 13” deep fixed shelves for displaying books or collections. The lower body has two drawers over a cabinet of two doors that lock together, opening to a shelf, 13” deep. Turned wood bun feet support the whole, their roundness offering pleasant contrast to the otherwise linear design. Cleaned and tightened, this glass top buffet is ready to bring a refreshing update to its next home. View the detailed images.
