English 19th Century Pine & Painted Server
-
Description
A transitional English country or farmhouse serving table from the 19th century, crafted from pine with an unpainted top surface over a weathered, ivory-white frame. A simple plank top, whose natural grain reveals over a century of memories in the patina, rests on an apron hosting three small drawers for convenient storage whether the table is used as a console, vanity, or writing desk. The Prince of Wales heraldic badge is evident in the dark brass ring pulls as repoussé motif of crown & plumes, and matched in flair with turned finials hanging from the corners. The case rests on a trestle base of two substantial pedestals on the sides, joined by a thick, turned wood stretcher, lifted from the floor by turned, toupie feet. Cleaned and polished, ready for your interior. Please view the detailed images to see the current condition.
