Antique French giltwood and marble stand
French, Late 19th Century

Top diameter 31cm
This charming wooden stand is crafted in the elegant Louis XVI style, celebrated for its balance and refinement since the late 18th century. The piece is richly decorated with carved laurel garlands, scrolling motifs, and acanthus leaves, all expertly gilded to enhance its sophisticated appearance.
Designed in a circular form, the stand is supported by three gracefully curved legs terminating in scrolling feet. The top features a circular panel, crafted from red-veined marble, providing a striking contrast and added visual interest.
