Dating from the 1840s-1850s, the snake bangle bracelet is composed of gold, enamel and diamonds. It is designed as two intertwined red basse taille enamel snakes, heads and bodies with old mine-cut diamonds and emerald cabochon eyes. Enlivened by sparkling diamonds set in patinated silver-topped 18K gold and lively red enamel, these embracing snakes symbolize the message of love that they have represented since ancient times.
