Description
An uncommon find from the New York modernist designer Ed Wiener circa 1970, this gorgeous bracelet was built to last indefinitely if well-cared for. As an artist heavily influenced by the organism of Jazz music and the new boundaries of modern art, Ed Wiener found his artistic visions best expressed through gold with only minimal introduction and emphasis on stones. His organic style remains highly individual.
This wonderful bracelet is crafted entirely in solid 14 karat yellow gold, overall exhibiting a chaotic textured surface of individual cast links joined together. The attention to detail is exquisite - in designing the piece Ed Wiener introduced a slight curvature to each element so that it curves around the wrist without revealing gaps between each link. It locks together with a box-clasp and cleverly disguised press-button for the sprung tongue and is further secured with a wire safety catch.
