Description
The seat framed and panelled over a reeded frieze and supported by reeded legs headed by carved paterae.
This window seat or bench is remarkable due to its size, at nearly five and a half feet long. It has also survived in a remarkable state of preservation, retaining a gloriously untouched colour and patina. The design of the bench is very much influenced but the famous 19th century architect Charles Heathcote Tatham -
