Description
Rare Bauhaus German Zenith Brass Table Lamp. Amazing Zenith Brass & Glass Table Lamp Germany 1920's -1930's Bauhaus period. Gorgeous brass having incised handle with acanthus leaf detail. The brass patina appears like brown leather, smooth to the touch from years of handling. Opaline glass diffuser with frosted stepped center allowing more light illuminating directly under and around the base of the lamp. While the glow of the white opaline top warms the surrounding area above. This is a sensational unique table lamp of the German Bauhaus Period 1920's - 1930's. The design has a more modern aesthetic in keeping with the German style of Bauhaus while having an Art Deco nod with the acanthus incised detail to the handle. Very good original condition. A new plug for US standard and switch button internal has been changed. Original plug and switch internal are included with the lamp. Zenith makers mark to the brass socket. Sensational rare unique period Table Lamp with spectacular presence. Having an original piece like this from Germany considering Germany's war torn past is rare. Collected in Berlin.
