Description
This virtually indestructible, board-like Kurdish city scatter from NW Persia, shows a saturated tomato red field with a close, allover textile pattern of elaborately curved leaves, layered exploding palmettes and imaginative small Rococo vegetal motives. There are four horizontal and nearly three vertical sectional repeats. Navy-black border of barbed palmettes and lancet leaves. Excellent, short-clipped, upright pile. Good condition.
