Description
This table lamp features the iconic "mushroom" silhouette produced by Vistosi in Murano. The two-part construction consists of a glossy, mid-tone grey conical base and a separate white glass shade that diffuses light downward. The piece exemplifies the Space Age aesthetic of the 1960s through its organic, minimalist form and clean geometry. It retains the original manufacturer's "Vistosi" label and the "Made in Italy - Murano" gold foil sticker.
Vistosi is one of the most prestigious glassmakers in Murano, with a history dating back to the 17th century. During the 1960s and 70s, under the leadership of Gino and Luciano Vistosi, the company collaborated with prominent designers to merge traditional Venetian glassblowing techniques with modern industrial design, creating some of the era's most recognizable lighting fixtures. -
