Description
The "Rota" pendant was designed by Bent Nordsted for the prominent Danish manufacturer Fog & Mørup. The design features a sophisticated interplay of two layered glass components: an inner white glass piece that serves as a diffuser and a translucent brown outer layer that adds depth to the form. This layered construction creates a warm, atmospheric glow. The units retain their original "Made in Denmark" and "Kastrup Holmegaard" labels, confirming their high-quality Danish production.
Bent Nordsted is a Danish designer recognized for his collaborations with leading lighting manufacturers like Fog & Mørup during the mid-20th century. His work often utilizes the aesthetic properties of layered materials to manipulate light and shadow, resulting in fixtures that are both functional and sculpturally significant. -
