Description
This original table lamp from Hillebrand Leuchten embodies the clear, timeless design language of German Space Age design from the 1970s. With its distinctive, gently curved black-brown metal shade, high-gloss chrome-plated column base, and solid round plinth, it combines technical precision with elegant understatement. The harmonious proportions and high-quality craftsmanship make it a distinctive design object that adds a stylish accent to both Mid-Century and modern interiors.
The large, white-lacquered metal shade, in combination with the two light sources, provides a pleasant, soft, glare-free light, making it ideal as mood or table lighting. The integrated switch in the heavy chrome base underlines the functional elegance of the design and is one of the characteristic details of this Hillebrand lamp series.
The lamp offered is in excellent original condition. The chrome-plated base presents with a very nice sheen, the black metal shade has a uniform surface and shows only a small abrasion on one side of the shade, which is documented in the detailed photos. Technically, the lamp is fully functional and ready for immediate use.
In the 1960s and 1970s, German lighting manufacturer Hillebrand was one of the leading producers of high-quality designer lighting. The company was known for its excellent material quality, precise metal processing, and collaboration with renowned designers. Many designs from this period are now attributed to designer Heinz F. W. Stahl, who developed numerous iconic Hillebrand lamps and significantly shaped the company's objective and elegant style. However, the designer attribution is not clearly documented for individual models.
This Hillebrand table lamp is an authentic collector's item of German design history, combining high-quality craftsmanship, iconic Space Age design, and timeless elegance. It is equally suitable as stylish lighting in living or working areas as well as a high-quality design object for demanding collectors and lovers of original vintage lamps. -
