De Nieuwe Honsel Amsterdam School Pendant Lamp, circa 1925

Description
A rare De Nieuwe Honsel pendant lamp from the Dutch Amsterdam School period, circa 1925. The elongated bronze structure incorporates an unusual illuminated upper section above a large geometric enameled-glass shade in red, cream and dark tones.
When lit, the coloured glass creates a warm atmospheric glow while the strong vertical construction gives the lamp a distinctly architectural presence. A highly decorative and collectible example of early 20th-century Dutch Amsterdam School lighting.
