Description
A Dutch Art Deco pendant lamp by De Nieuwe Honsel, circa 1929, featuring abstract enamelled glass panels, a wooden framework and decorative textile fringe.
Bold red and orange colour blocks alternate with intricate marbled decoration. The fluid patterns resemble ink spreading through water, forming delicate contours and clusters of rounded shapes. This organic ornament contrasts with the geometric arrangement of the panels and the dark horizontal accents.
Decorative suspension cords with dark beads complement the frame, while the fringe adds softness beneath the shade. When illuminated, the glass develops a warm, luminous depth that brings its colours and patterns into focus.
The hanging height is adjustable to suit the interior. A distinctive focal point for a dining room or entrance hall, with particular appeal for collectors of Dutch Art Deco lighting and abstract decorative design. -
