English 19th Century Oxidized Copper Pot
-
Description
A massive antique English copper pot, with wide lip around the edge, from circa 1880. The exterior has oxidized and developed a beautiful verdigris patina of soft turquoise. The riveted construction would have been necessary at the time and now lends a decorative detail. Many potential uses around the home, such as by a fireplace as a stylish place to store firewood, a planter, or reading material by the sofa. Its aged finish will only improve with time.
