1950s Italian Vintage frosted white scavo Murano glass cup holder candlesticks, on Art Deco design reeded columns and raised on a double round lipped plinth. The quality of the work is very attractive and speaks of quality. These candlesticks are attributed to the Murano glass Maestro Cenedese for the unique use of the scavo technique, which he rediscovered in the mid-20th century: a unique special finish to give the idea of an "ancient" excavated piece and stone feel. The beauty consists in the fact that the glass keeps its transparency while this treatment creates a mineral-like translucence that catches the light. A true work of Art that enriches any space.
