Description
A Leerdam Unica art glass bowl by A.D. Copier, featuring intricate pink decoration within the glass , circa 1927.
A broad rim surrounds a deep central well, creating an expansive surface for the interplay of colour and pattern. Fine rose-coloured speckles alternate with larger flowing motifs, while the darker centre lends depth to the composition. Translucent passages allow the decoration to change in intensity with the light and viewing angle.
The bowl brings together a clear circular form and richly varied decoration, offering a distinctive focal point for a collection of Dutch art glass or a carefully composed interior.
Formerly in the Meentwijck Collection, the Dutch decorative arts collection. -
