A leaf shaped silver serving dish with a teak handle, model TW85 designed and signed by Tapio Wirkkala. This dish is from 1956. A perfect example of Wirkkala's genious designs derived from nature.
Made only to order.
Some scratches on the surface.
Manufactured and stamped by Kultakeskus Hämeenlinna C7 916.
We do happen to have 3 of these, in case you are looking for more than one. The other 2 we are selling as a pair.
About the designer: Tapio Wirkkala has been awarded a great number of Triennale awards, gold medals and special recognitions. He is internationally acclaimed and has used a number of different materials in his designs including glass, wood, plywood, silver and ceramics. -
