Description
Large abstract painting on panel by American artist Charles Dix, painted in the 1970's. In this body of work, Dix was inspired by the earth tones and gold of Asian lacquer, and in addition to brushwork he poured the glossy lacquer-like paint, tipping the board to create images that seem like natural formations. Signed lower left. Known provenance.
