Antique Marble Topped Hardwood Dresser with Neoclassical Marquetry

Height 85.5cm, width 79cm, depth 40cm
Designed in the elegant Neoclassical style, this 19th Century commode dresser is crafted from hardwood with a veined grey marble top and ormolu mounts. Standing on four tapering cylindrical legs, the body of the dresser features three drawers to the front. The frieze drawer at the top is decorated with marquetry depicting draped fabric garlands, and two flanking ormolu mounts. The larger two bottom drawers are adorned with floral garland marquetry, tied with a ribbon. -
