Description
Rare Dutch Amsterdam School hall lamp by De Nieuwe Honsel, circa 1925, executed in enamelled glass and bronze. The richly coloured geometric glass panels are complemented by an unusually elaborate closed lower section, allowing the decoration to remain visible from beneath and producing a warm, architectural glow. A highly characteristic example of early 20th-century Dutch Amsterdam School lighting.
