Description
This tall ceramic table lamp was designed by Einar Johansen and produced by Søholm Stentøj in Denmark during the 1960s. The lamp is impressed with the manufacturer’s mark and model number on the underside of the base.
The stoneware base features an elegant, elongated silhouette: a faceted square foot supporting a slender, tapering neck that rises with sculptural precision. Its glossy glaze shifts from deep cobalt tones at the base into violet and copper shades toward the top, with subtle drip effects where the colors overlap, creating a fluid vertical gradient that emphasizes the lamp’s height and refined geometry.
The lamp is paired with a custom cylindrical shade in an ivory fabric with a subtle silk-like texture, offering a clean and neutral complement to the saturated colors of the ceramic form.
It has been rewired and fitted with a standard E26/E27 bulb socket and a 220V European plug, with the light switch located on the socket beneath the shade. The lamp is in very good condition and comes with a new shade.
Specified Dimensions: Total height including shade: 61 cm / 24.02 inches Height of the base only (excluding shade): 44 cm / 17.32 inches Diameter of the shade: 20 cm / 7.87 inches Diameter of the base: 11.5 cm / 4.53 inches -
