Description
This striking, elegant table lamp was designed by Stig Lindberg and produced by Gustavsberg Studio in Sweden in the 1950s. The lamp is marked on the bottom of the base with the maker’s sticker, which includes the designer's name, as well as the “Gustavsberg Studio Hand” inscription.
The bottle-shaped base is part of Lindberg’s Fajans (Faience) series. The milky white glaze is complemented by a hand-decorated striped pattern, consisting of pink and cherry red linear lines in varying widths. The tall, slightly tapered lampshade further accentuates the elegant shape of the base. It is covered in a white, 100% linen Loro Piana fabric.
The lamp is in overall good condition and features a completely new shade. There is a single minor scratch on the back of the base where the cable exits. It is currently wired for 220V European use and fitted with a standard E27 bulb socket.
Specified Dimensions: Total height including shade: 56 cm / 22.05 inches Height of the base only (excluding shade): 33.5 cm / 13.19 inches Diameter of the shade: 12.5 cm / 4.92 inches at the widest point -
