Pair of Tall Brass Table Lamps by Harald Notini for Böhlmarks, Sweden, 1950s

Price Upon Request
  • Description
This rare pair of tall table lamps was designed by Harald Notini and produced by Arvid Böhlmarks in Sweden in the early 1950s. The lamps are stamped with the Böhlmarks logo and model number 15288 on the underside of the base.

The elegant design is characterized by a slender, elongated tubular stem rising from a rounded circular foot. The entire base is executed in polished brass. The slightly tapered shades have been newly made in a cream-colored Pierre Frey fabric. This raw silk taffeta creates a beautiful texture and a pleasant, diffused light. The design is completed by brass finials.

The pair is in good condition with renewed 220V wiring and renewed shades. The brass has been polished. One base shows a minor dent in the brass, which is only visible upon close inspection and does not detract from the overall appearance.
