Description
This table lamp was designed by Josef Schott in the 1960s and produced by Smålandshyttans Glasbruk in Sweden.
The design is characterized by a sculptural rectangular base executed in thick clear glass with an all-over bubble relief motif. The deeply textured surface creates a beautiful interplay of light and transparency.
The heavy glass body refracts the light softly when illuminated, emphasizing the dimensional quality of the controlled bubble decoration. The lamp is paired with a renewed silk shade in a deep metallic tone, complementing the clarity and texture of the glass base.
The lamp is in very good condition. It has been rewired and is currently fitted with a 220V European plug and a standard E26/E27 bulb socket. The shade is newly replaced.
Specified Dimensions:
Total height including shade: 44 cm / 17.3 in
Height of the base only (excluding shade): 30.5 cm / 12.0 in
Diameter of the shade: 20.5 cm / 8.1 in
Dimensions of the base: 10x10 cm / 3.9x3.9 in -
