Description
This elegant table lamp was produced by the Swedish manufacturer Leco in the 1960s. The lamp is stamped with Leco and the model number '803' on the bottom of the base. Leco was a Swedish lighting company with a main focus on the high quality production of brass lamp fixtures. The brass base is marked by the elegant, circular foot with a ridged border and decorative, corrugated brass centre. Central, slender stem in brass leading to the shade holder. The globe shaped shade is made of a white, slightly glossy opal glass. The shade distributes the light in an even and pleasant manner. The combination of the elegant brass frame and the rounded glass shade offers an interesting interpretation of the Art Deco and Swedish Grace lamps created in the 1920s and 1930s.
The lamp is in very good original condition. The brass with a natural patina, minor signs of wear. Currently with a 220V European plug, fitting for a (small) E14 bulb. -
